Many students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. A completed School Meals Application enables eligible students to eat lunch for free or at a reduced rate. Students who do not return an application and/or are not eligible for a free or reduced-price meal will pay $1.75 for lunch.
Households can apply online for free and reduced-price meals for all children living in the household attending Pre-k to high school. Parents and guardians can return a completed paper application to their child’s school or they can apply online at nyc.applyforlunch.com or nyc.gov/accessnyc using any computer or smartphone with an internet connection.
